Gaol Naofa (pronounced gweel nee-fah) is an Irish phrase that translates to “sacred kinship/
affinity.” We are a organization that is committed to the practice, promotion and further
advancement of our own distinct tradition of Gaelic Reconstructionist Polytheism (GRP).

Gaelic Polytheism, as we define it, is a way of life immersed in traditional Gaelic culture, ethics,
thought, and spirituality; it is a true expression of the Gaelic experience of the world. It involves the
recognition of the multiplicity of divinity by giving honour to the deities and spirits of the pre-
Christian Gaels, living in accordance with nature, acknowledging the interdependent relationship
between the spiritual and mundane, living on the boundaries of the worlds, honouring our
ancestral wisdom, and celebrating our spiritual, cultural and historical heritage. As we attempt to
strictly adhere to a reconstructionist methodology, we strive to modernly revive what customs we’
ve lost by looking towards mythology and early pieces of literary tradition, archaeological and
historical records, and folk traditions and beliefs.

Gaol Naofa and its efforts are still a large work in progress with many key projects currently in the
process of development. Among these is the
Uraiceacht Gaol Naofa (A Gaol Naofa Primer), a
booklet that is envisioned to provide a basic introduction to the modern practice of Gaelic
Polytheism as uniquely expressed within Gaol Naofa. It will attempt to outline basic concepts such
as theology, cosmology, ritual, ethics and much more.

To fulfill our dedication to GRP, we, the community of Gaol Naofa, are committed to

...education
Gathering and producing sound, reliable, informative, and inspiring materials (i.e articles,
journals, books, and other forms of media) regarding Gaelic Polytheism.
